Orange Apple Cake

Cream:
½ C. shortening
1 ¾ C. sugar
Beat in until fluffy::
3 eggs
Combine and add:
2 ½ C. flour
1 ½ t. pumpkin pie spice
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
Add:
¾ C. milk
1 t. vanilla
Stir in:
2 C. grated apples, peeled
1 C. raisins
1 C. chopped walnuts

Frost with Orange Butter Cream Frosting:
1 pound powdered sugar
½ C. margarine
1 3 oz. pkg. creamed cheese
¼ C. orange juice
4 t. grated orange rind
1 t. vanilla
Dash salt
