Aunt Donna Swiss’s White Cake (probably Emma’s)

Cream together:
1 C. shortening or butter
2 C. sugar
4 egg yolks
Combine & add:
4 C. flour
4 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
Add & mix:
1 ½ C. milk
2 t. vanilla
Fold in:
4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Pour into 4 layer pans
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
