Desperate Mother’s Applesauce Cake from The Oregonian

Combine in order:
½ C. butter
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. applesauce
2 C. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
½ t. salt
½ t. allspice
1 C. chocolate chip pieces.
Pour into greased & floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake 350 degrees 35 minutes.
