Nate’s “Toad in the Hole” from Danny the Champion of the World

Cook, then cut up:
10-12 link sausage
Mix together until bubbly:
3 C. flour
12 eggs
3 cups milk
dash salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Melt in a jelly roll pan:
8 T. butter
Pour batter into hot, buttered pan.
Drop in sausage pieces.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes till golden brown.
Serve with:
butter
peach topping
apple topping
powdered sugar.
