Lynn Brown’s Nanny Jerani’s Cinnamon Twists

Bring to a boil:
1 C. cream soured
Add:
2 T. butter or margarine
3 T. sugar
1/8 t. soda
1 t. salt
Cool then add:
1 egg
1 T. yeast dissolved in
¼ C. water
Add:
3 C. flour
Knead 10 minutes and let stand.
Roll into a rectangle.
Spread with melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Fold in half, cut in one inch strips and twist.
Let rise.
Bake 375 degrees, 12-15 minutes.
Frost with:
¾ C. powdered sugar
1 T. milk
½ t. vanilla
