Bev Lake’s Old Fashioned Chicken & Dumplings

“Now the chicken and dumplings is one of my mother’s - meaning no exact recipe. I'll give it my best shot.
Boil 4 chicken breasts in 5 cups water.
Add 4 chicken bouillon cubes and a dash of poultry seasoning. Boil until chicken is tender and shred-able… at least an hour. Use dumpling recipe on Bisquick- 1 ½ times the recipe. Drop by spoonfuls into simmering shredded chicken mix. Hopefully the dumplings turn the water to a light gravy. Try this one out before you serve it to company. Good luck. If it doesn't work - blame it on my mother who never writes anything down!
