Caribbean Jerk Rub

1 T. sugar
1 T. onion powder
1 T. dried thyme
2 t. dried allspice
2 t. ground black pepper
1 t. cayenne pepper
1 t. salt
¾ t. ground nutmeg
¼ t. ground cloves

Rub over meat, poultry or seafood at least 2 hours before grilling and grill as usual.
